Message from the PresidentDear Guitar Parents, If your student is no longer participating in the guitar program, kindly send a reply to us indicating your request to be taken off of this distribution list. The 2011-2012 guitar booster board has been working all summer to transition from last year's board and to update our guitar forms so that they will be ready for you to pick up at the Bulldog BBQ on Tuesday, August 30! The Guitar Survival Guide is now available, put together by the Guitar Boosters. It contains information that will help you to know what is expected and needed from our parents, as well as students. Please read and fill out the entire booklet, and have your student return the enclosed gold form to me at school as soon as possible. We look forward to working with you and Mr. Hall to help make this a great year for all of our students! We need your help! There will be opportunities for you to be involved all year, but the following two very important events are just right around the corner! Please print out this so that you have it as a reference! Bulldog Barbeque Tuesday, August 30 5-8:30 PM:The Bulldog BBQ is a yearly event for all to attend. This year the Barbeque is on Tuesday, August 30th from 5:00pm – 8:30pm. The event is open to the entire Westfield community and will include entertainment, GREAT food, silent auction, and other amusements. Proceeds from this event benefit many Westfield booster organizations and the PTSA. High school students have the opportunity to pick up their 2011-2012 school schedules, uniforms, and lunch cards. Additionally, students can connect with others and grab dinner at the school. As an annual tradition, The Music Booster organization coordinates the concessions for this event. Our food sponsors this year are Brick’s Pizza, Moe’s Southwestern Grill, Chicago Dawg House and Chick-fil-A. Guitar Boosters are in charge of the beverage stations along with volunteers from orchestra and band. All funds collected from food / beverage sales are split between the four music booster organizations. We are in need of parent volunteers to support with a variety of tasks. If each parent volunteers for even one hour, then everyone will have a chance to enjoy the rest of the BBQ! Please reply to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
